Claiming on private health insurance?

We work with most major private health insurers. Call your insurer first for an authorisation number, then give it to us when you book. In most cases we bill them directly, so you'll only pay any excess.

06  From our patientsCheadle & around
I'd had a bad back on and off for six years. Hannah explained it in ten minutes better than anyone else ever had, and I haven't had a flare-up since spring.
Gareth · Cheadle Hulme
Tom watched me run for two minutes and spotted it straight away. I ran the Manchester half pain-free four months later.
Sophie · Gatley
The evening appointments are what got me through the door. I can come straight from work and park outside. Priya's massages are firm in the best way.

07  QuestionsStill unsure? Call us

Good questions.

The things people usually ask before their first visit.

Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, you can book with us directly. Some insurers ask for a GP referral before they'll cover treatment, so check your policy if you're claiming.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the problem, but most people need between three and six follow-ups after their assessment. We'll give you an honest estimate at the end of your first session and review it as you go.
Can I use my private health insurance?
Yes. We work with most major private health insurers. Get an authorisation number from your insurer before your first visit and we'll do the rest. If you're not sure whether your policy covers us, give us a ring and we'll help you check.
What should I wear?
Something you can move in. Shorts are best for hip, knee and ankle problems, and a vest top for neck and shoulder problems. There's a private changing area if you'd like to bring something to change into.
Is treatment painful?
Some techniques can be a little uncomfortable, but we'll always tell you what we're doing and check in with you. You're in charge, and we can stop or change approach at any time.
What if I need to cancel?
Just give us 24 hours' notice and there's no charge. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged at half the session fee.
Where do you park, and is it accessible?
We have a free car park right outside. The clinic is on the ground floor with step-free access and an accessible toilet. We're a short walk from Cheadle village and on several bus routes.
